Auditions will take place on Monday, August 4, 2025 and Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Auditions are open both virtually and in-person (while spaces last). In-person auditions will be held at the Greenhouse Theatre Center (2257 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614). Callbacks will be held in the evening of Thursday, August 7.

If all in-person slots are filled, we encourage you to check back for openings or to submit a virtual audition. Virtual submissions are due by midnight on August 5.

About the Play
Three ageless, timeless, deathless sisters in a basement in Bushwick
One of them falls in love

Characters
Actors of all races, ethnicities, sizes, abilities, and genders (conforming and non-conforming) are encouraged to audition. Every character in wyrd is open to performers of any race or gender, except Stuart who is a white man. All characters are aged between 25-35.

  • Snow - the fucked up sad one; loves humanity, hates been seen, fears herself.

  • Red - the fucked up angry one; hates humanity, loves scaring people, fears nonexistence.

  • Iras - the fucked up mature one; loves rules, hates being disoraganized, fears the gods.

  • Jan - human. loves people, hates what they do, fears widespread apathy.

  • Stuart - man. loves power, hates women who don't shave, fears nothing.


Pay $150 stipend

Materials Requested Prepare a two-minute long cut of your favorite monologue. It can be contemporary, classical, anything as long as you love it and it feels at home in your body. Online video submissions are due by midnight on August 5.
